Silent Hill: The Short Message was… alright

This is my review of Silent Hill: The Short Message, the first Silent Hill Game to come to the PlayStation platform in over 10 years! Yeah the last game was all the way back in 2012, Book of Memories on the PlayStation Vita. A kind of sad end for the series. But with it back in this smaller package, does it capture what made people fall in love with the franchise to begin with and is it a good ...

Devil May Cry Review
Просмотров 9668 месяцев назад
Welcome back to Don Critic, in this episode I’m covering 2001’s Devil May Cry by Capcom. A popular Hack N’ Slasher that was originally intended to be a sequel to 1999’s Resident Evil 3. Under the directorship of Hideki Kamiya, the project soon took a left turn into completely new territory and Capcom decided on rebranding the game as its own series. Devil May Cry has everything you want from a ...

Battle Arena Toshinden Series Review | Don Critic
Never actually beat this game
I have 6 tiers for 39 characters (simply characters from mk11+cyber ninjas+ermac+reptile+shokans-guest characters) For S tier (flawless) I have 3 characters. A tier (very good) 8 characters B tier (good) 13, C tier (normal) 6, D tier (bad) 8, And F tier (really bad) only 1 character I got. This franchise is probably the best in terms of whose characters are good on average.
So I’m confused can you only get the one in the jungle area as of right now and just that one for now and the others get released later closer to the release date
Yeah, they haven’t added the other three bots just yet, they’re likely adding one every few weeks
With all due respect, the actors in the MK2 commercial weren’t the same actors from the games. I’ve done a lot of research into that commercial as I think it’s the only thing that compares to the game.
The absolute pinnacle of the series. The feel, the gameplay, the darkness, the hype and the frenzy was very real. I have never, ever seen crowds in arcades like I did in 1993-1994. Much of due to MK2. There were crowds around the game just watching people play and waiting for their turn.
If dc was as bloody as it is now compared to when this game was released, this game would be Rated M and wouldn't be the "trash" mk game.
Scorpion is top 1 but I guess we have 2 Sub-Zero in the top 5 so I can take it. You're right tho.

Awesome ranking! Thanks for watching and supporting the video 🙂
okay.. I watched all the way through before I even looked at comments or likes or anything and I can’t say I agreed more with everything you said. exceptional list, very informative, agreeable reasoning. my only, very small qualm is with bo rai cho and reptile. You said it yourself, Drunken Master whom pukes and farts and is just generally fun to play with unique moves in both entries, and reptile is just classic, exceptional and devoted designs that I think suit his persona and moves in most eras(I do agree that just being another lackey is a shallow backstory, but bo rai cho is such an elegant explanation of a “drunken master,” able to train lui kang into one of the most powerful of the lineup, seemingly through sheer skill and ability). Otherwise, I think this is spot on. Incredible work and effort on your part to put this together so concisely. Golly good show. edit: parenthesis
4:42 Quien ese es Fatality? Es Kira
I think the things that defines millena as such an interesting character is how misunderstood she is and how she is put in a bad light on her own just for being a clone of kitana we see that millena wants a normal life (based on mk11 ending for her), she has basically been betrayed by many and she didn't ask for it, if anything I feel bad for her
MK11 will always be my favorite because the trailer brought back the original movie theme.
Bouta cop all these achievements on Xbox One. Awesome ass game but man did it suck not being able to pick the other costumes in any other mode except infinity mode and the specific map that each of them come from. Especially the Gold & Blue X-Men costume!! That thing is so badass looking 🔥
If this list was remade today, ashrah, nitara, and li mei would be much higher on this list
Man, I loved this game on the PS vita. It was so awesome to get the full experience on the go.
If Crash, Spyro, or both make an appearance in the new Astro Bot, that would be phenomenal. Also, I don’t think just Astro Bot is a good name for the new game. Especially considering that it’s a sequel of sorts to Astro Bot Rescue Mission amd Astro’s Playroom. Couldn’t they have subtitled it? I mean it’s kind of like Sonic 06 because it has the exact same title as the original. I can just imagine the PlayStation community calling this game Astro 24. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t.
It would be interesting to see if Crash or Spyro make it in somehow, but now they’re owned by Microsoft after the Activision buyout, so I think the chances are pretty slim. I was thinking the same thing about the games title, I guess they don’t want to turn anyone away who hasn’t played Rescue Mission.
There's never been a game Just called Astro Bot.
Do you still check this vids comments?
Yes 🙂
Liu Kang as the face really only lasted for mk 1 and mk 2. His position was neutralized once they introduced Kung Lao and in arcades across NY it was obvious and it was a wrap. Mk3 everybody was their own leading character at this point to where Liu Kang was almost ignored as a playable character but his fatalities saved him. Mk 4 is GOATED 💯❤️🔥
Gotta agree with 8XL+8 being the peak DW experience. Love it.
God I miss playing this game.
I don't get this new game update screen when booting up the game despite having updated (and even deleting and re-downloading) it, even got a platinum trophy, any idea what I'm doing wrong? I therefore also don't have all the new stuff like saving Maria etc
I know you have to have defeated the final T-Rex boss to get the new update, and still have that save file in your game. If you’ve got that then I’m not sure what could be the issue

How is anyone supposed to know this
It is very obscure, but I found it very fun to figure it out
Toshinden 1 2 3 is a gem Dont know about toshinden 4😅
DW 1 over 2 is insane
I got to admit, using Bloodborne's release date to unlock Lady Maria's cage is pretty clever. Also, why do I have a feeling this will be the closest to a Bloodborne re-release on PS5?
A Bloodborne remaster would be so good, even just a PS5 update
I agree 💯
Thanks for your help with this! Look forward to more videos!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
People who think spawn should switch places with eronn black
I was new and late to the series. Maybe I’m just not that good at the first game. I enjoyed this one but it is not my favorite.
Which one is your favourite?
i have a question.....will the game be free to download??
Ye I was wondering i hope tho I really wish to be free
The new game coming out isn’t free, it’s currently on the PlayStation Store to preorder for $60
@@ldbama-ze5xr4 full years of work for the game and you think the game will be free?
The Island Earth movie was made in 1955 not in 1953.😎
how did you change the date?
Just use the D-Pad on the clock. It’s easy!
@@BlueVestGaming thank you!
I got a question... At the gacha machine you pull silver balls sometimes which contain these fun figurines. Where do i find those? Or where can i look at them?
They’re on the tables around the edge of the Labo room 🙂
There's no way to view them individually in their figurine forms, but something a lot of people don't realize is that each figure actually gets added to the bot population in the room. So for example, the figurine showing a bot next to the Sony Interactive Entertainment logo adds that exact scene to one of the walls of the room. If you never get any figures, the Labo room remains mostly empty of bots.
@@Cri_Jackal thx so much man
Good job with this video 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks so much Alfred!
Heavenly sword was the reason I bought a ps3
just started the video and im like 90% sure he's gonna call ermac "urmac"
Enjoy the video!
Congratulations on platinuming the game! Sounds like it was quite a struggle, even with save states.
Thanks Mike, glad you enjoyed the video! It was a tough platinum, has that 90’s level of difficulty, but very satisfying after I did it. The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be the next platinum review
10/10 video
Another great video!
Thanks so much for watching! Glad you enjoyed it
